Upon arrival at the Honolulu Airport, go to your assigned baggage claim and retrieve your luggage. Then proceed to Baggage Claim Area #31 where a member of the Hawaii Hoopfest staff will greet you and take you outside to your hotel transportation. After hotel check-in, the remainder of the afternoon/evening is yours to explore the Waikiki area.

• Athletes, please bring all three uniforms today.  We will take photos in all three.
• All athletes, coaches & travelers must have your Hawaii Hoopfest ID Badge to board the charter bus.
• Please be at least 10 minutes early to all departure points. This will help your day run smoothly.

***Important Info:

• You need to make sure and eat breakfast between 7:00 – 8:45 AM this morning.  It will be a long day and there are not any food options during our travels.
• You will need to bring a sandwich, snacks and water in your backpack for this day.  We will not stop for lunch so bring food and water for today.

• Your team will start the day with a morning basketball practice.
• Teams need to decide which Game Jersey to take today for the Waikiki Treasure Trek.  You must wear your Hawaii Hoopfest Game Jersey for this event.  Team jerseys must match.
• Waikiki Treasure Trek – your team will navigate through the maze of shops and attractions seeking the “Treasures” of Waikiki.  There will be a prize for the team that submits the most creative photos and videos.
• Your afternoon and evening are free to enjoys the Waikiki area.  Please remember to stay in groups of 4 or more when leaving the hotel.
• You must be with an adult if you leave the Waikiki area.
• Let our staff know if you need help planning any activities for today.
• This evening we will walk to the Luau at the International Market Place.

• Your team will start the day with a morning basketball practice.
• After practice, we will walk to Kapiolani Park to participate in the Hawaiian Olympics. This event will give you the opportunity to compete in Hawaiian games with your teammates in a fun-filled team building experience.
• The events are: Taste of Hawaii, Ho’olei Kinipopo Relay Race, Huli Hula, and Polynesian Tug-O- War. This will be one of the highlights of the week.
• You will have the afternoon free to enjoy the Waikiki area.
• At approximately 7:45 PM there will be a 4th of July Fireworks Celebration on Waikiki Beach.  You and your teammates can walk to the beach and attend this event on your own.

Today is tournament day for the Hawaii Hoopfest. Please refer to the schedule below for team departure and game times.

• The day is yours to explore the many fun activities the island of Oahu has to offer. Many of the teams will plan group activities today, while some individuals will plan activities with their families.
• Please see someone from the Hawaii Hoopfest staff if you would like help setting up a sightseeing excursion.
• Remember athletes must stay in groups of 4 or more when leaving the hotel – you cannot leave the Waikiki area unless you are accompanied by an adult. If you are traveling without a parent and need someone to spend the day with on an activity, please notify your coach or the Hawaii Hoopfest Staff. We will assist you.
• Have a fun and SAFE day.  If you need to reach to a Hawaii Hoopfest staff member, please call 918-608-8800.

1. Check out time at the hotel is 11:00 AM. Please take your luggage to the hotel lobby for storage with the Bellman until your scheduled hotel departure time. Please consider tipping the Bellman when picking up your luggage.
2. Your coach will come to your room for an inspection between 8:00-10:00 AM.
3. Please clear any incidental charges with the hotel front desk that you may have incurred during your stay.

Important Info – Transportation to the Airport

1. Click Here to view the Hotel Departure Schedule.  You will need to verify your flight info with your airline using your Confirmation Number and make sure it corresponds to what is listed in our schedule.  If not, please notify a member of our staff.
2. You will depart the hotel for airport approximately 3-5 hours prior to your flight.
   • We also ask you to go to your airline’s website and reconfirm your flight departure time from the Honolulu Airport 24 hours prior to your departure time. Many flight times will be changed on Departure Day and we may not be notified of any changes.It is your responsibility to check your own flight times. If there is a change, please notify a member of the Hawaii Hoopfest Staff immediately.
3. Approximately 20 minutes prior to your scheduled hotel departure time, you will need to go the Bell Desk to retrieve your luggage. You will be responsible to carry your own luggage to the transportation van.
4. Be sure that you personally see your luggage is placed on the van and transported to the airport with you.
5. When you arrive at the airport you will need to retrieve your luggage from the van and proceed to the agricultural inspection station located in front of your airline’s ticket counter.
6. Should you decide not to take the provided transportation, please notify your coach and a member of the Hawaii Hoopfest staff.  If you go to the airport on your own, you will be responsible for your personal luggage.
7. We also ask that you notify a member of our staff to let us know you will be going to the airport on your own.
